Dairy Free Peanut Butter Cookies

I have two in my group who are lactose intolerant and baked up this batch of peanut butter cookies.  This is a picture of the family plate - the ones for the kids are minus the milk chocolate chips.  My daughter who isn't usually a fan of peanut butter cookies told me they taste like a chewy peanut butter cup!

Butter Free Peanut Butter Cookies

1 cup peanut butter
1/2 white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2  teaspoons vanilla
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon warm water
milk chocolate chips (optional)

Cream together the peanut butter, eggs, sugars, and vanilla.  Add in the flour and baking powder and mix until well blended.  Mix in the warm water and mix thoroughly.  Stir in the chocolate chips if you are using them.  Drop by tablespoons onto a lightly greased cookie sheet (I know you don't usually grease for peanut butter cookies, but these ones will stick if you don't!)  Bake for 8 minutes at 350 degrees.  ENJOY!!
