Had to share our elephant craft from this week.  Scrunch 2 pieces of newspaper into a ball and place in a lunch bag sized paper bag.  Cut out ears from grey construction paper... we didn't have any, so we painted white construction paper when we did the bag.  Paint the bag and then twist the top to create a trunk.  Make sure to do this when the paint is wet!  When dry, add googly eyes, ears, and tusks if desired.  You could place the head on a dowel to create a puppet too.

Holy Heat Wave

Back in the 40's here and it is so brutally hot!!!  At this rate, I will be so happy to see Fall arrive!

I have started drawing a circus clipart set and wanted to use my juggling clown; so, even before the big reveal of the new set, here's a little game I created with one of the images from the set.  Enjoy :)

Bring In The Clowns

I can't believe how incredibly busy I am this summer so you may not hear from me as often as I would like.  I created this template for the children to cut/paste their own clown craft, but it can also be used to create a cute feltboard set... enjoy!

Nutella Wrap

If your kids love Nutella, then this is a quick and easy breakfast wrap to make.  Just spread Nutella on a wrap and add chopped strawberries (or any other favourite fruit... I'm thinking bananas would be excellent) then roll!  As you can see, it's a favourite here (not for me though... not a huge fan of the chocolate spread ;)... but a couple of bites were taken when I went to grab my camera LOL.

If you are making this for a grab and go breakfast, just fold the top and bottom in before rolling so none of the strawberries fall out - cut in half - then place standing up in a ziplock baggie.

Circus Game

Hey everyone!  I've just returned from a road trip to the Great White North... what an awesome vacation!  It was my home town's 75th celebration and I was able to get together with family and also with friends I haven't seen for decades!!!  So, if you were wondering where I was... now you know ;).

This summer, we will be experiencing circus life with our 'Under The Big Top' theme.  I stumbled across these amazing graphics at The Graphics Fairy and had to create some games for my crew... Enjoy!
