Today I Saw a Robin

Hey everyone - hope you all had a happy Easter and the bunny left goodies for you all!  Found a cute little robin craft on the net.  We added to the craft by making nests from paper bags - so easy... just scrunch down the bag to form the nest and then glue on strips of brown paper (and/or wool).  Would be a great addition to make paper maché eggs (or wooden eggs) and paint them to add to the nest.

Here are two of our favourite robin songs...

Today I Saw A Robin
Today I saw a robin
Singing in a tree
And this is what that robin
Said to me
Cheerly, cheerly, cheerly
Cheerly, cheerly chee
I'm a happy robin red breast
Singing in a tree.

Robin in the Rain
Robin in the rain, such a saucy fellow
Robin in the rain, mind your socks of yellow
Running in the garden on your nimble feet
Digging for your dinner with your long strong beak.

Robin in the rain, you don't mind the weather
Showers always make you gay
Bet the worms are wishing you had stayed at home
Robin on a rainy day - Don't get your feet wet.
Robin on a rainy day!
